Americana

I'm really loving the Americana trend. Recently I've been into the great Native American style knits and the amazing work/ combat boots of yesteryear.

These boots are a dream! They have a steel toe and vibram soles. I've been stepping into 8 inches of snow on purpose just to test them out and they're rock solid. My feet stay completely dry and they're super comfortable.

My outfit the other day. Vintage Levi's Jean Jacket, Navajo Style sweater vest (my new favorite layering piece), J Crew button down, American Apparel cardigan, Rogan jeans and my combat boots.

Love and China

Finds of the day!

So I was going around the city visiting some of my favorite stores and I came across 2 wonderful coats.

The first is a Christian Dior Trench Coat. It comes with a removable wool lining and it's almost in perfect condition.

The second is a Wool Pierre Cardin Coat that has one of the best patterns I've seen in a while.

I also took a picture of my 1940's Horse tie. I love these things! I can't believe someone actually sat down and hand painted this at one point. (Just for fun I put my horse tie clip on it, but I'd probably never do that in real life).

Sorry for the lame pics, I'm working on finding a better camera... I know we have an unused on in my house somewhere. (The iPhone camera just doesn't cut it for capturing all the details on these things).
